Life Education at school

Shelley and Harold have been here at school since last week. The Senior Syndicate have been following the 'Quest' programme, learning to identify how different foods, liquids, medicines and other chemicals enter your body and the affect they have on the different parts of the body. Check out the work we have been doing with Shelley and Harold.

Reading

We have been working to improve our reading comprehension this term and we decided to use the CSI kit(Comprehension Strategies Instruction)to help us. CSI is a literacy resource for teaching comprehension strategies and improving vocabulary, fluency, oral language, and writing. We have Buddy Learning Partners that we work alongside, everyone in the class has to contribute. The CSI kit incorporates English language arts, math, science, and social studies. We also learn to work cooperatively alongside other students speaking to them and listening to their ideas.
